The passing of Felicia Leone Driscoll
Felicia Leone Driscoll, CGS catechist from South Bend, IN died on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She shared her faith and her love with her family and the whole community and she will be greatly missed. Please join the CGS community in praying for her husband, Dan, and their children Paddy, Clare, Jack, Liam and Maeve. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Felicia Leone Driscoll Scholarship Fund to help little ones be able to go to Good Shepherd Montessori School.   > read more
 
Festival of Friendship
The 2017 Pittsburgh Festival of Friendship will take place September 29-October 1, 2017 and will feature three exhibits, many expert speakers, and a classical music performance.The schedule of this event includes an Introduction to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd exhibit: with Rebekah Rojcewicz, Member, Executive Committee of the International Council of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd; and Suzanne M. Sofia Cavalletti Symposium: August 19-21, 2017 is the centenary of Sofia Cavalletti's birth and to celebrate the accomplishments of this extraordinary woman, Aquinas Institute of Theology, together with the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, is sponsoring a conference on her work. The Northwest Catholic Journal writes about the work of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in the Pacific Coast Region. Three years ago, some of the local parishes formed a consortium, The Sheepfold, to make training more local, affordable and sustainable. This group of catechists are also assisting with hosting the National Level Two and Level Three Courses this summer and again in 2018.   > read more
