Materials and Resources Coordinator
As Materials and Resources Coordinator, the development of the new Materials Manuals is Pat’s top priority. Pat has also been involved in the work of evaluating and rebuilding the technology support for our national association, so that the Materials Manuals would have an accessible, online home.
Pat has completed formation in all three levels, and attended The Word, Eucharist and the Child conference in Assisi in 1997. Pat is a recognized formation leader, and she is a part of a unique Arizona study team that has researched materials in the Rome atria of Sofia Cavalletti for several years. The fruits of that research, along with hundreds of photos, will be part of the new Materials Manuals content, and also contributed to the development of the Level III Description of Materials CD. Pat and her husband, Gary, developed the Shepherd’s Closet in their home as a ministry to support catechists in their work of making materials, and to also support our national association.
Pat is a certified Director of Catechesis for the Diocese of Phoenix (DOP) where she has directed Adult Education, RCIA, and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd programs. She has had responsibility for developing and leading sessions for many DOP atria, including St. Timothy Catholic Academy where Grade 1-6 students attend weekly sessions as part of their school year curriculum, and St. Tim’s Good Shepherd Center where parish children also attend weekly religious education sessions. Pat earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Social Work. She also has a master’s degree from the Pepperdine University School of Business & Management in Organization Development.
Pat and Gary are parents to a Brady Bunch of seven adult children and dearly enjoy their five granddaughters and new little grandson.
