CGS and the Roman Missal, Third Edition
The manifestations of serene and peaceful joy the children display in the meeting with the world of God lead us to maintain that the religious experience responds to a deep "hunger" in the child.

Tomie dePaola donates prints of the Good Shepherd to Annual Appeal!
Tomie dePaola
A generous gift by children’s author and illustrator Tomie dePaola benefits the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Tomie has donated twenty-five signed, limited edition prints to CGSUSA. How fitting during our 25
th
Anniversary year, that we have twenty-five signed prints that will be gifts to the first twenty-five people who
donate $1,000.00 to the National Association
. The signed prints were created to commemorate Tomie receiving the Regina Medal, a children's literature award. The Regina Award is presented annually by the Catholic Library Association,
awarded to an individual for a lifetime contribution to children's literature. Tomie has illustrated nearly 250 books and written the stories for over 100 of those books. Throughout his work we find images of the Mass, scripture and saints. In addition to his books, Tomie has created liturgical art in churches, including several wall hangings at a Benedictine Abbey. We are very grateful for this wonderful gift.
