Welcome to the CGSUSA.ORG!
The Staff of the United States Association of The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd welcomes you to our digital community! If you are a new member, you may use the Reset Password tool to create a password for the first time. Simply enter your email address into the space provided, and you will receive an email with a link to create a new password. Be sure to check your Junk/Spam folders just in case!
Current members who have lost or forgotten their passwords may also use the Reset Password tool to reset passwords. Enter your email address into the space provided, and look for an email with a link to create a new password. Be sure to check your Junk/Spam folders just in case!
For more detailed instructions, see below: How do I actually “set” or reset my password?
Logging In
Once you have created or reset your password, select the Member Login link in the upper right corner of the Homepage or any page of the website and enter your complete email address and your new password.
Please remember, the CGSUSA Staff is very small, and we are always happy to help! We will respond to calls and emails for assistance as quickly as possible and in the order in which they are received. We’ve listed some common questions along with guides and information that may help some individuals solve issues without assistance.
First, you must enter your EMAIL address into the RESET PASSWORD tool. Remember, your username and password from the former website will no longer work. Why is that the case? Because the new “face” of CGSUSA.ORG actually rests on an entirely new structure. Your EMAIL ADDRESS (your old usernames no longer work at all), profile information, and access level (Materials Manual access) have all been transferred to the new site.
- When you receive the CGSUSA email, simply click on the link provided.
- This link will take your directly to a page on the CGSUSA website where you will be able to create a new password.
- You must enter your new Password twice and select the BLUE “Change my password” button.
- Your Password must be the same in both boxes for the change to be effective, but CGSUSA has no Password requirements.
- If you see an error indicating that your passwords do not match, you have made an error in typing the same password in both boxes.
- Happens to everyone; keep trying!
First, CHECK YOUR JUNK or SPAM EMAIL FOLDER. Many junk or spam filters ‘catch and filter’ these emails since they are automatically generated, rather than created by a human.
Here are the other common causes: (1) simple typographical errors when entering email addresses and (2) incomplete email addresses entered into the tool. Your full, complete email address (all letters/number before and after the @ symbol) are required for the the Password Reset tool to function correctly. We recommend you try again and make sure you see a confirmation that a link has been sent to the email address you’ve provided. Again, be sure to check your spam and junk folders as automated emails can get caught in these folders. The confirmation should look exactly like the message below. If you do not see a confirmation message indicating that a link has been sent, the email you have entered is not registered with CGSUSA.ORG as the account holder.
If our website does not recognize your email address for any reason, you will see an error message when you attempt use the Reset Password tool. It will look exactly like this:
If you are certain you have entered your email address correctly, Contact Us! Our records may have different email address for your account. We can correct this issue and help you get logged in!
Remember to enter your entire email address when logging on (all the letters/number before and after the @ symbol) and your password every time you login to the website. The entire email address is case-sensitive and must match the information you submitted to CGSUSA when creating your membership account.
Start by selecting the Member Login link from the top right-hand corner of any page on the website.
- Enter your full email address into the YELLOW HIGHLIGHTED box.
- Enter your password into the PURPLE HIGHLIGHTED box. (Passwords are case-sensitive.)
- Select the BLUE Login button.
You’ll know you are logged in because the word “Logout” will appear in the top-right corner of every page, if you scroll to the very top of the screen.
If you have logged in successfully before and cannot today or if you have reset your password successfully but cannot now log in, please Contact Us. We can help!
You will use the Password Reset tool once your account is active. You should receive an email inviting you to set your password when you submit your membership payment. The process of account activation runs overnight, so it can take 24 hours for your new membership to become active at CGSUSA.ORG. We are grateful for your patience! You are welcome to try the Reset Password tool after 24 hours or to Contact Us!
When you renew your membership, our process requires overnight processing for account activation. If you are not able to Reset Your Password the day after you renew your membership, please Contact Us!
The Material Manual is an extension of your album page, which is the fruit of the work done during your Formation Course. The Material Manual will include the list of materials as described on your album page. To access the Material Manuals, please select the Level (I, II, or III) from the Materials Manuals section the the Welcome Members page. You may also use the For Members drop-down menu to access the Manuals directly.
If you do not have access to a manual for which you have received formation, please request this by submitting a Request Manual Access Form. If you have received Level III Formation and would like access to the new, on-line Level III Materials Manual, please request this by submitting a Request Manual Access Form. (You must be logged into the site to see the Request Form.) Please remember, access to the Materials Manuals is an extension of Formation. Access is granted to course participants when a course begins meeting, but not in advance. Please submit requests for access when your course begins meeting.
Concerning the manuals: You will be granted access to the Material Manual for those levels that you have received formation or are currently enrolled in a formation course. There are no online albums or album pages available through CGSUSA, nor should there be digital copies of personal album pages on the internet. If you are in need of an album page, please contact your formation leader.
Access to the Materials Manuals is not granted automatically, and CGSUSA may not have records of your prior formation. To request access to the Level III Materials Manuals, or to any manuals for which you have received formation, please complete a Request Manual Access Form – must be logged into site to view..
CGSUSA Staff members must edit your Member Profile listing if you need an update before your annual Membership Renewal. We do have a form available for Member Profile Update requests. (Must be logged in to view.) Please complete this form, and we will update your listing as staff workload allows. (If you have a safety concern that requires your update to be completed immediately, please email a staff member directly.)
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to update your EMAIL ADDRESS, this will also change your website login!
We are so grateful for your support and friendship! Use the Join or Renew Membership Form! If you happen to live outside the United States, please call the Scottsdale office at 480.874.3759 to renew. We know this is inconvenient, but not all international banks comply with the security requirements of our website host.
If you have completed a CGSUSA Membership form but upon submission received a notice that it could not be processed, there was likely an issue in acceptance with your bank or credit card company. The causes of such errors can include typographical errors in the credit card number, the CCV number, or zip code which your bank uses to verify accuracy before approving the charge. There are other reasons why your bank may deny a charge. If you think the cause of this denial is simple error, we recommend you resubmit your form or contact your bank or credit card company. If you have persistent issues and your bank has no barriers to processing the charge, please Contact Us or call the main office at (480) 874-3759. We can help!
If you attempt to enter your password three times incorrectly, your account will be locked. This is a security setting that CGSUSA cannot adjust or alter. However, you can unlock your account by Resetting Your Password at any time. You may need to clear the cache memory of your internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, MS Edge/Explorer, etc.) or try accessing the site with an alternative browser. If you have persistent issues with the Password Reset process, Contact Us! We can help!
If you have previously been able to login and to access and view the Materials Manuals, but login and cannot view the Manuals your membership has probably expired. You can renew your membership using the Join or Renew Membership Form. Check your email; you probably have received an invitation to renew your membership prior to your expiration date. Remember that at your next renewal, you may set your membership to renew automatically, so you don’t have to remember to renew on time to maintain your access!
Look at the top right of any page until you find a blank, underlined space followed by a magnifying glass. Type the word or phrase you are looking for (the title of the page is best, if you know it) into the space at the top of the page and click on the magnifying glass. This method is not 100% effective as this Google feature is limited in which elements of the page it looks for. In the footer (green bar) of every page, you will find a Sitemap link. This Sitemap has a listing of all page names, which might also be helpful. You are also welcome to Contact Us for help, as always!
First, make sure you are looking at the online CGSUSA bookstore site by clicking the word STORE at the very top of CGSUSA.ORG beside the word NEWS.
Make sure you are on the Store section of the Website. If you select the Store Main Menu drop down, you will find a Search box at the very bottom. Type a keyword into this box and select find. If you get 0 results, try being less specific. For instance, if you use the phrase”Mini Brass Paten and Chalice Set,” the tool will look for all those words in that order and our description may be different. Try just using “Paten” instead. You’ll get more results, but you will find your item. As always, Contact Us if you need help!
This is the easiest way to change your password! First, go to the Welcome Members Homepage to access the My Account screen. Then, select the option to Change Password.
This will take you to a new screen that will allow you to enter your CURRENT PASSWORD, and a NEW PASSWORD. You will have to enter your NEW password twice. You will then click the blue Update Password button to change your password.
