The 10th National Eucharistic Congress is an invitation to experience profound personal revival so we can be sent out to share Christ’s love with a world that so desperately needs it. This is the First National Eucharistic Congress in 83 Years. This is a pivotal moment in both American history and the legacy of the Catholic Church.

CGSUSA has been invited and will offer tHeART of the Child Art Exhibit, a Nido environment, a Toddler Atrium and Level 1, 2 and 3 Atria!

This National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to the Eucharist in the United States by helping to renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The Congress will take place July 17th – 21st, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium and other nearby venues in downtown Indianapolis. More than 80,000 Catholics of all ages will gather to reconsecrate their hearts to the source and summit of our faith and then, having enkindled a missionary fire in the hearts of the American faithful, the Holy Spirit will then be sent out on mission to share the gift of our Eucharistic Lord as we enter the universal Church’s jubilee year in 2025.

This is a pivotal moment in both American history and the legacy of the Catholic Church. It is also an amazing opportunity for us to serve the children in attendance and live out our mission to support catechists, parents, and others in the Church and beyond, as they grow in their understanding of the religious potential of children.

We need your help to make this happen. If you are planning to attend, Please take a moment to complete our SHORT SURVEY here.

If you are going and can assist in some way, please contact us at [email protected]  And if you are not going, please pray for us who will be there.

Please visit our website for CGSUSA Resources for the National Eucharistic Revival: From the child, from Sofia and Gianna, from the Annual Journal, for the catechist, for the family, for the parish.

Welcome to CGSUSA

We believe God and the child have a unique relationship with one another. Children need their own place to foster the growth of that relationship. The growth of this relationship is assisted by the adult, but is directed by the Spirit of God within the child.

What is the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd? The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd was born from the joy of the children’s encounter with God. It has been observed that children of the same developmental stage, even those from widely varying cultural backgrounds, respond to elements of the Christian message in the same way.

Learn with CGS

In Catechesis of the Good Shepherd adults are given the opportunity to embrace a method of catechesis (or religious education) that will deepen one’s relationship with God. Catechist formation in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is both instructive as well as experiential. It captivates both the head as well as the heart.

Connect to CGSUSA

We read in the Gospel of Mark that Jesus sent his disciples out in pairs, two by two; the journey was not meant to be a solitary one. It is essential for us as catechists to support one another as we prepare materials, work in the atrium, and observe the child. We come together in unity, as members of CGSUSA, to share the joy of this work.

Support CGSUSA

Through their joy, their wonder and awe, their capacity for love and prayer, and their radical simplicity, children offer us adults a glimpse of what it means to fall in love with God. This has been the work of CGSUSA for over 30 years: to advocate for the child’s joy.
