The Eucharistic Presence of the Good Shepherd: Learning to See the Lord

with Tim O’Malley

June 22, 2021

11:00 am – 1:00 pm EDT

In this common dialogue, we will look to the Eucharistic Presence of the Good Shepherd with our children and our Church. This talk will begin with Tim’s experience of his son’s First Communion and will also draw on wider sources throughout Church history, our forebears in faith, who invite us to behold the presence of the Lord in the Eucharist. Please join us for this vital conversation!

Timothy P. O’Malley, Ph.D. is academic director of the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy and director of digital education at the McGrath Institute for Church Life. He teaches and researches in the areas of liturgical-sacramental theology, catechesis, and spirituality at the University of Notre Dame. He is the recent author of Real Presence: What Does It Mean and Why Does It Matter (Ave Maria Press, 2021). He is married to Kara and has two children, ages 8 and 4.
