Linda Kaiel and Mary Mirrione returned from their work in Kolkata with the Missionaries of Charity and shared great news of the work in India with the “poorest of the poor” the “least in the church.” There were 28 participants for the Level I course this year, all involved in some way with formation of the sisters. They had gone to give a co-Level I course for the formators of the Society, the 28 sisters who work in preparing young women in their journies from Pre-Aspirancy to their final vows.​   > read more

CGSUSA recognizes the great need for books in areas of poverty and therefore has decided to help by making the remainder of our stock of Living Liturgy available for mission courses around the country. There is still great value in the original Living Liturgy, even through Sofia Cavelletti had rewritten and retitled the text as The History of the Kingdom of God, Part 2: Liturgy and the Building of the Kingdom.   > read more

Rebekah Rojcewicz and Lourdes Vasquez represented CGSUSA at the Latin American Formation Leaders Conference in Guadalajara, January 27-February 1. There were approximately 70 participants representing Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Honduras, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Argentina and the US. The associations of Mexico and of Colombia (ACOFOREC) serve all of Latin America in providing courses and resources.   > read more

The Board of Trustees and members of the CGSUSA staff met for the Winter Board Meeting in Oak Park, IL on February 7 – 10, 2013. The four-day gathering consisted of prayer, opportunity for board and staff to share reports and build a three- year timeline.   > read more
